CuePath Innovation CEO Victor Lesau’s product idea developed over time as he saw his family spend years caring of his grandmother, who had to consume more than twenty pills in specific intervals throughout the day. For seniors, keeping track of medication can be challenging, and it often becomes the family’s responsibility to monitor intake. When family members are unable to visit in person or reach their loved ones by phone, they would not know until the evening or even days later whether the senior is following their medication schedule. With that in mind, Lesau and his team developed smart disposable medication packaging and a service that allows families to track seniors’ medication intake via mobile device. The solution does not require training for patients or manual refills by caregivers, and integrates well into a pharmacy’s workflow. By alleviating caregiver stress, CuePath allows family visits to be personal discussions rather than enforcement of medication schedules, using intuitive technology and high-quality products. CuePath is currently working with their partner pharmacies on bringing the product to market.
